A BOUTIQUE COACHING PRACTICE
You don't need more generic advice.
Whether it’s LSAT preparation or taking care of your health, it can feel unnecessarily confusing and overwhelming. There are endless resources, conflicting opinions, and people telling you what worked for them without first understanding what is holding you back.
My role is different. I learn how you process information, identify the specific problems getting in your way, and optimistically work through them with you. You receive a plan, but you also receive hands-on teaching, honest feedback, accountability, and a coach who cares about the person behind the score.
Why people work with me.
I came up from the bottom.
I took the LSAT six times, from a 147 to 173. I learned this the hard way, so I can teach it to people it doesn’t come naturally to — at your level, not over your head.
Small roster, real involvement.
I take on only a handful of people at a time and get genuinely invested. It should feel like a friend who’s been exactly where you are and not someone counting down the session clock.
I train skills, not theories.
I don’t just tell you what worked for me. I coach you in reading cases, outlining, and exam-taking and figure out which approaches actually fit how you think.
Coaching for the whole path — or just the part you need.

YOUR COACH
Hi, I'm Jason and I've walked the path you're on.
I am a former corporate associate at Cooley LLP, a member of the D.C. Bar, and a graduate of Washington University School of Law. At WashU, I was selected to deliver my class commencement address and founded the Wellness in Law & Life Society.
Before and during law school, I tutored the LSAT, taught formal logic, and coached clients on exercise, nutrition, and daily habits. Before entering law, I was a competitive distance runner and natural bodybuilder.
Those experiences taught me that people rarely need more information alone. They need someone who can make the information understandable, turn it into a realistic plan, and help them follow through. I’ve found the best way to do that is to make the process fun.

3
We get to work and have fun doing it
Hands-on, high-touch coaching where I train the skills with you and stay genuinely in your corner — not a PDF and “good luck.”
Questions people ask me
-
My practice is intentionally personal. I get to know you and how you think. You work directly with me and not with a rotating team. Your plan is built around your needs rather than selected from a preset program. I also draw from firsthand experience with LSAT improvement, law school, legal recruiting, corporate practice, and performance coaching.
-
It depends on what you need. We figure that out together on the consultation. There’s no pressure, and you'll always know what you're signing up for.

No. I work with people pursuing many different schools, scores, and legal paths. The important question is whether you want individualized guidance and are prepared to engage seriously with the process while having fun doing it.
-
No, but what I do promise is honest guidance, a real plan, and someone in your corner so you give yourself the best shot you can.
-
It is personalized coaching that may include exercise programming, general nutrition guidance, habits, accountability, decision-making, personal values, or life strategy. You can focus on one area or combine several.

No. Shefferman Coaching provides educational and coaching services. Coaching does not create an attorney-client relationship and is not legal advice, medical care, mental-health treatment, physical therapy, or medical nutrition therapy.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
